Robert Kocharyan has begun his second term as President
of Armenia, following Wednesday's inauguration in the
Government Building.
The 48-year old President and his family were escorted
to the ceremonies at 1 p.m. and were met by political
and religious dignitaries who witnessed the President
place his hand on a seventh-century Bible (brought from
the Institute of Manuscripts) and take his oath to:

I want to tell you who you are.
And where you are, how many you are, and what you had
for breakfast this morning. Ok, I made that last one
up, but I can answer the other three questions thanks
to information about visitors to ArmeniaNow that we
get from a tracking service.
A series of public service announcements advocating
ideas of love and tolerance toward people, nature and
the planet will soon appear on Armenian television.
Karen Muradyan, captain of Armenia's Under-21 team
did not return with the team to Armenia following its
0-5 defeat in Spain April 1. Muradyan left the squad
to go to the Netherlands. The Armenian Football Federation
says it will try to bring Muradyan back to Armenia.
An exhibition of cartoons has been on display at Moscow Cinema
since April 1. It is the first such exhibit in 17 years and
not everybody is pleased about whose work was included. Among
the aggrieved was this group of young cartoonists whose cartoons
were not selected. They rallied outside the cinema Monday,
wearing their work.
