Arts Digest : A capsule review and preview of art and entertainment in Armenia


30 YEARS AGO Jubilee concert of Vocal – Chorus Special School took place at Opera and Ballet Academic National Theatre. Hovhannes Chekijyan, conductor of State Academic Capella, opened the celebration concert. Bella Kocharyan, first lady of the republic, and other officials were present.

The concert included both solo and chorus performances given by the students of the school.

ARMENIAN HIP HOP: Mobster- a new name in the world of Hip Hop music, Armenian rapper living in the USA will present his CD titled “My Music, My Life, My World” and official web site. in the Music Center of Amiryan , on July 17 at 3:00

CHARITABLE CONCERT TOUR : Armenian pop singer Michael Kotanjyan is planning a charitable concert tour. The project will last the whole year and the singer will perform his art in the all marzes of Armenia. The starting point of the tour is to be Charentsavan sometime this month. Profit from the concert will go to the disabled children of Charentsavan.

 July 25 National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Performance of Song and Dance Honored Ensemble named after Tatul Altunyan. Artistic Director Jirayr Altunyan . Ticket cost 1000-5000 AMD

July 22, 23 in Cascade and Astral Night Club,
British Council in Armenia presented concert of Hip Hop and Jazz musician Soweto Kinch.
