JAZZED: Leading British trombonist Denis Rollins and the Bad Bone & Co jazz group performed in Yerevan on March 2 and 3 at the Marriot Armenia Hotel and Astral Night Club. They were joined in performances by four leading Armenian jazzmen: Vahagn Hayrapetyan, Vardan Grigoryan, Arsen Nersesyan and Arman Balalyan.
MULTIMEDIA ARMENIA : A presentation of the Russian-Armenian company ROSAR International was held on march 1, reported Arminfo.
The company intends to establish a multimedia center in Armenia within two years as part of investments in television and film production. An international satellite TV channel is also planned. The project is proposed jointly by the Russian ROSAR company and Armenian Public Television, with support from the World Congress of Armenians headed by Moscow businessman Ara Abrahamyan.
RELICS ON SHOW: Three unique exhibits from collection of the Cilician See of the Armenian Apostolic Church will be shown in New York 's Metropolitan Museum.
The Byzantium : Belief and Power exhibition, which runs for three months from March 15, will include two Armenian Bibles from the 13th Century and the Right Hand of St. Nicholas. Catholicos Aram I has been invited to the opening ceremony, according to PanArmenian Network.
MOSCOW TRIBUTE: According to Yerevan city administration, a monument to Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian will be erected in Moscow by the end of the year. Moscow architect Georgi Frangulian is designing the monument, PanArmenian Network reported March 3.
POP PICK : Pop singer Lilit Pipoyan returned to Yerevan after a successful concert in the United States . She performed in Boston accompanied by students from the Julliard music school in a concert arranged by the Pomegranate Music organization.
Pipoyan hopes to stage a solo concert in Yerevan soon and plans to shoot two new video clips in the summer.
DOUBLE SIRUSHO: Sirusho's army of adorers will be happy to learn that the singer is working on two new CDs, one with songs in Armenian and the other in English. She hopes both will be ready by the end of the year.
