The Days After: Sargsyan says Europeans have "different
mentality"; Demirchyan says the fight isn't
over
Both the re-elected administration and its opposition
held press conferences today in reaction to yesterday's
Central Election Commission vote count that gave
Robert Kocharyan a second term as President of
Armenia.
Congratulations on Wednesday's re-election and your
second term as President of Armenia. As I write this,
the Opposition is still saying you didn't win, but they
said that about the first round, too, and nothing changed.
Yerevan is running out of room for its dead. According
to at least one specialist, unless conditions and customs
change the capital could become "Cemeteryland"
in the next two decades.
President Robert Kocharyan was elected to a second term.
